
SANDAKAN: The Federal Government will allocate RM1 million to rebuild the suspension bridges in Penampang and Tuaran that were damaged by floods.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the chairman of the Central Disaster Management Committee, said the allocation is made through the National Disaster Relief Trust Fund (KWABBN).
"According to the detailed report received, the incident affected the lives of 485 victims in both districts (Penampang and Tuaran) and Putatan," he said after attending a briefing session by the Sabah Disaster Management Committee here on Sunday.
