Customers can reserve these notes online and collect them at selected branches. Additionally, from 15 January to 28 January 2025, certain UOB ATMs will dispense RM10 fit-for-gifting notes. In recent years, there has been a noticeable scarcity of new banknotes, with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) encouraging the adoption of e-ang pows as a sustainable alternative. Despite this shift, the tradition of gifting physical angpows with crisp new notes remains a cherished custom for many.
