Kota Kinabalu: A RM100 million scheduled waste treatment facility is now available at the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip), a first such facility in Sabah.

The integrated facility is a joint venture between Tex Cycle Sdn Bhd and Evolusi Bersatu called Tex Evolusi Waste Management Sdn Bhd.

Previously, scheduled waste from industries in Sabah had to be transported to Peninsular Malaysia for treatment, increasing costs and emissions.

The facility was launched in a ceremony here on Monday.
