RM120.43m in drug exhibits set for disposal in the State

Kota Kinabalu: Drugs worth RM120.43 million involving 5,732 investigation papers will be destroyed by the Sabah Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) this year.

State Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said the exhibits, weighing more than one million grammes in total, included 370,223.042g of methamphetamine, 609,669.2g of mitragynine, 24,104.15g of cocaine and 3,518.04g of ketamine, according to information shared on the Info X social media platform.

According to Info X, the exhibits will be transported from Sepanggar Port to Port Klang before being sent to Bukit Pelandok, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, for official disposal on Sept 14.

Jauteh said 41 individuals had been arrested under Ops Bayu 1 to Ops Bayu 14 this year, with 20 charged under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Meanwhile, JSJN Sabah and the Malaysian Checkpoints and Border Agency (AKPS) have detected 50 drug cases since July 2025, involving more than 60kg of methamphetamine, 55kg of cannabis, 2.5kg of ketamine and 191.82g of ecstasy.
