
PENAMPANG: A new RM16.8 million bridge is set to be built over the Babagon River, connecting Kg. Timpangoh to the main road.
Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative, Datuk Ewon Benedick, kicked off the project on Tuesday at its site in a ground-breaking ceremony, according to a statement.
The 90-metre concrete bridge is expected to be completed within a two-year period as set by the Public Works Department.
"This bridge has been a highly anticipated infrastructure project for the residents of the Babagon sub-district, particularly to those involved in transporting agricultural produce, commuting to work, and taking their children to school," he said.
