KENINGAU: The Sabah Handicraft Centre hostel will boost the economic activities of rural folks through handicraft and other skills provided at the centre, says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
He said the provision of additional infrastructure is a benchmark to help deal with the problem of lack of accommodation, in addition to improving the comfort of the target group in the process of acquiring handicraft skills.
“I believe that by having own building, the welfare of the trainees and the learning sessions can take place in a more organised and focused manner,” he said after officiating the RM17.67 million Sabah Handicraft Centre Hostel Building, here, Monday.
