Kuala Lumpur: The Jom Jelajah Korperasi (Jejak) programme received an RM2 million kickstarter to help cooperatives in the hospitality sector to promote and market their products and services to further boost the tourism industry in preparation for Visit Malaysia 2026.

“This incentive are among the initiatives rolled out to support the programme which is aimed at facilitating trade among cooperatives in the hospitality sector, healthcare and craft, needed to bolster the tourism industry,” said Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Jejak is among programmes being implemented in preparation for the government’s Visit Malaysia 2026, which aims to attract 26.1 million tourists.

“The government, through the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development and Cooperatives (Kuskop) particularly the Malaysia Cooperatives Commission (SKM), will continue to support involvement of cooperatives in the domestic and international tourism sector,” said Ewon.
