I agreed there is a need to upgrade their tamu area,” he said.
He said this when officiating the School Arts Carnival, Kaamatan celebration by the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), and the Thanksgiving Ceremony for the new school building of SK Tuguson held here, on Friday.
Currently, villagers operate their market every Thursday in the existing stalls built by the Ministry of Youth and Sports by the side of sepak takraw court, while others use canopies.
Ewon, who is also Kadamaian Assemblyman, said the construction of the Tamu Desa premises in Kg Tuguson would use an open hall concept, in line with the two main concepts of Tamu Desa which is an open hall and stall concepts.
At the same event, he contributed RM20,000 through the Kadamaian Adun’s Sentuhan Kasih initiative to build a concrete floor connecting the new school building, as well as RM5,000 for the SK Tuguson rhythmic gymnastics contingent participating in the state-level competition in Kota Kinabalu.
