
RANAU: Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Idris Abdullah said 535 online fraud cases involving RM21.3 million in losses were recorded in the first seven months in the state.
Head of the Management Department, Sabah Contingent Headquarters (IPK), Datuk Zabidi Md Zain who read his speech said the amount would likely be an increase compared to last year which recorded a loss of RM25 million over 12 months involving 1,148 cases.
“This proves there is always an increase every year. Police continue to intensify arrests involving such cases,” he said.
