KUALA LUMPUR - The Home Ministry has poured over RM429 million since 2023 into Johor’s enforcement agencies, strengthening both personnel welfare and operational capabilities.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the allocation spans three key agencies — PDRM, Immigration, and the Prisons Department.
“Investing in personnel welfare goes beyond providing better facilities, describing it as a strategic effort to ensure enforcement officers can carry out their duties more efficiently, safely, and effectively in safeguarding public security.”
He stressed that conducive workplaces, comfortable quarters, and modern facilities translate directly into improved service delivery and a safer environment for the public.
“The ministry will continue to ensure that every allocated fund is utilised optimally to safeguard the welfare of personnel while strengthening the security of the people of Johor,” he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.

Construction of Segamat IPD & quarters

Kitchen workshop upgrade at Kluang Prison
Water supply system overhaul at Simpang Renggam Prison
Saifuddin said these initiatives reflect the MADANI Government’s commitment to balanced state development. He noted PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had recently clarified in the Dewan Rakyat that Johor’s overall allocation surged to RM14.6 billion, up from RM10.2 billion. - July 4, 2026
