RM43mil for education assistance programmes

THE State Government will continue its Special Assistance for Education programmes next year to help less fortunate students who are unable to further their studies due to financial constraints and education-related matters, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said the Special Tasks and Coordination Ministry was established to coordinate and manage the Special Assistance for Education programmes to assist students in entering higher education institutions as well as those who are sitting for examinations.

“The current programmes will be continued along with five new additional programmes to support the educational institution in year 2023, namely Bantuan Persatuan Ibu Bapa Dan Guru (Bagus); Bantuan Ihsan Sekolah (Bisbah); Assistance for Schools’ Minor Infra; Anugerah Khas Kecemerlangan Pendidikan (Aksa) and Bantuan Khas Pendidikan (Bantu) involving RM43 million, an increase of RM8 million compared to 2022.
