TAWAU: The State Government allocated RM5.45 million to 83 schools and non-Muslim religious bodies in the East Coast Zone this year.
The recipients of the aid consisted 43 schools involving RM3.03 million, 36 churches (RM1.18 million), 27 Chinese temples (RM1.03 million) and four Hindu temples (RM190,000) in Lahad Datu, Tungku, Kunak, Semporna, Tawau and Kalabakan.
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan presented the assistance to the recipients at the SJKC Kung Ming Hall, here, Thursday.
