Kota Kinabalu: Philippine authorities arrested 10 people and seized some PHP7 million (RM560,000) worth of smuggled fuel, a top police official said Saturday.
The seized fuel came from Sabah and was bound for Zamboanga City.
The fuel, which is subsidised by the Malaysian Government, is further proof that rampant smuggling continues despite presence of various Malaysian enforcement authorities such as Customs, maritime police and Customs, among others.
