With all the hoo-ha about banning Coldplay’s concert which is scheduled for November this year, a scammer in Miri, Sarawak “steals the scene” by offering tickets to Coldplay’s concert at an economical price.
Ladies and gentlemen, you can now “buy” a ticket to Coldplay’s concert for only RM60.
The ticket is only available for sale starting Tuesday (16 May), as announced by Live Nation but a man in Miri claimed that concertgoers can now purchase the tickets from him.
“I’m selling those tickets. PM me before they’re sold out,” he reminded Malaysian in the Facebook group Miri City Community.
The man is generously offering a ticket at only RM60 for those who wish to be in the front seat where you can watch Coldplay perform up close. To those who want to be seated at the back, the price is only RM10 different. All you have to do is slide down his DM and give “the kind man” your address, and he’ll have the tickets posted right to your doorstep.
But that’s not all. Aside from the super-affordable prices, the man, who claimed that many people have bought the tickets from him made another offer if you buy more tickets, and said,
“Buy 5 tickets, get 2 tickets for free!”
“Bargaining at the night market”
That’s generous of him, but of course, his generosity did not restore faith in humanity. His post went viral on social media and Malaysians could simply detect his lies.
“Legit. I’ve ordered 5, and I’m waiting for my tickets,” a netizen joked.
“Sounds like watching Coldplay from YouTube. If you’re lucky, you get to watch it next year.”
“Buy 5 free 2? Sounds like buying snacks at the night market.”
“He’s fast.”
“This is not the 80s or the 90s. The outdated way of scamming.”
According to a post by Live Nation Malaysia on Twitter, the ticket prices of Coldplay’s concert range from RM288 to RM3,088 (Ultimate Experience.) You can check out the pricing below.
