Kota Kinabalu: The Zakat Fitrah rate for Sabah for this year is set at RM7.50.
Muis president Datuk Seri Yahya Hussin said the rate is based on the measurement of one Baghdad bushel or 2.7 kilograms (kg) of rice which is consumed by the majority of Sabah residents.
"Muis has also appointed a total of 40 Amil (zakat collectors) coordinators and 2,200 Amil representatives for Ramadan this year," he said today.
