AN internal investigation by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has confirmed that 20 of its officers were directly involved in immoral activities linked to the 'Yeye' culture that went viral on social media recently.
Following this, RMAF Chief Gen Datuk Seri Muhammad Norazlan Aris said that strict action would be taken without compromise against those involved, and any violation of orders, directives and regulations is viewed as a serious offence.
"Initial investigations found that 20 RMAF officers were directly involved in this immoral activity.
"RMAF will ensure that those involved are tried and judged in accordance with the provisions of the ATM legislation," he said in a statement today.
On January 5, the Ministry of Defence, in a statement, stressed that it views seriously the allegations regarding the entry of unrelated individuals and immoral activities carried out in military camps, as having gone viral on social media.
In this regard, the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) has been ordered to conduct an immediate internal investigation to determine the validity of the allegations thoroughly.
The Ministry of Defence stressed that the allegations do not reflect the culture, values and true practices of the ATM, which are based on discipline, professionalism and strict adherence to security procedures.
Muhamad Norazlan said that unhealthy culture, such as the 'Yeye' activity, is not a practice in the RMAF, and the leadership regrets the incident that occurred.
"The RMAF leadership expressed regret over the incident that occurred, and those who failed to implement the instructions will also be taken to task accordingly.
"We view any violation of orders, directives and regulations seriously and strict action will be taken without compromise," he added. – January 10, 2026
