A Royal Malaysian Navy Super Lynx helicopter made an emergency water landing off Klebang Beach. All four crew were rescued and are in stable condition.

KUALA LUMPUR: A Royal Malaysian Navy Super Lynx helicopter made an emergency water landing off Klebang Beach in Melaka last night.

The incident occurred at 10.50 pm during a demonstration flight for the 60th anniversary of the Malaysian Army special forces (GGK).

Four aircrew members were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.

All personnel were successfully rescued and taken to Melaka Hospital for further examination.

The RMN confirmed all crew members are conscious, in stable condition and under medical observation.

Immediate action was taken to arrange a salvage operation for the submerged aircraft.

A board of inquiry has been established to determine the cause of the emergency landing.

The navy also advised the public not to circulate videos of the incident.
