KUALA LANGAT, Aug 7 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah today continued the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor tour, this time visiting Kuala Langat.
At 9am, Tengku Amir Shah left for the Jenjarom subdistrict to have breakfast with residents, and signed a Rumpun Selangor plaque at Warung Ibu, Jalan Sungai Rambai.
His Highness then visited the Kuala Langat Land and District Office for a briefing on the district’s development, before a photography session with Kuala Langat Municipal Council staffers.
The Raja Muda then visited the Kuala Langat District Islamic Complex for lunch and to watch a cultural performance by the Sinar Tunas Cempuleng troupe from SK Sungai Lang, Banting.

In the evening, His Highness is set to visit SD Guthrie Bhd on Carey Island for a briefing on innovation in the plantation industry, and later, Tengku Amir Shah will be brought to Warisan Hall Studio in Kampung Sijangkang for dinner.
Resident Siti Zaleha Khalib, 60, said she was proud to meet the Raja Muda, who is seen as a people-centric leader.
“Tengku Amir Shah was very friendly and willing to listen to the people’s problems.
“Rumpun Selangor has succeeded in narrowing the gap between the palace and the people,” she said.

Another resident, Mohd Alway Elyas Al-Haj, 68, was impressed that Tengku Amir Shah consistently allocates time to meet his people.
“With today’s experience, it is the third time I have met the Raja Muda, who was in a cap and casual clothes mingling with the people. His Highness is a modern leader who is friendly to his people,” Alway said.
Gagasan Rumpun Selangor was launched to enhance national unity and the state’s community systems.
The tour has been held in five districts since February, starting with Hulu Selangor and followed by Hulu Langat, Sepang, Petaling and Kuala Selangor.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, when tabling Selangor Budget 2024, said RM4.5 billion had been allocated to hold Gagasan Rumpun Selangor in nine districts.
