SHAH ALAM, Sept 3 - Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah hopes the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) Aspire programme is expanded to help more young entrepreneurs in the state go global.
His Highness said the initiative, launched in 2017, could improve local traders’ competitiveness and help their products and services penetrate international markets.
“I highly appreciate the finalists’ determination and courage in presenting their ideas, business models and potential to bring their businesses to greater heights.
“Congratulations to the winners on their success and proud accomplishments, and well done to all finalists who have done their best and shown extraordinary entrepreneurship,” the prince said in a Facebook post.
Yesterday, Tengku Amir Shah presented awards to SAY Aspire winners, including first-ranked RHJ Tijarah Sdn Bhd, in a ceremony at Sunway Resort Hotel in Petaling Jaya.
The development programme is for young entrepreneurs whose products and services have the potential to be marketed overseas. It includes guidance courses and training on export strategies.
SAY Aspire is open to firms operating in Selangor with directors aged between 18 and 40 who are not bankrupt or blacklisted.
