A woman recently took to TikTok to show a roach freely ‘exploring’ pastries displayed at a bakery, which left netizens feeling sickened by it.
Roach scuttles around pastry at Setia Alam Bakery
As seen from the 49-second clip shared by @niaaraj, it showed a tiny roach running around several pieces of pastries that were on display.
Needless to say, the OP was horrified by the lack of hygiene and slammed the place as having “no cleanliness at all”.
She also had a word of warning for others who often purchase food outside and might be unaware about the poor standards of hygiene being practiced.

The OP also revealed that she found the roach at a bakery located within a hypermarket chain at Setia Alam on Wednesday (Oct 23).

The clip has since garnered over 230,000 views at the time of writing and netizens were unsurprisingly revolted by the sight of roach roaming freely around food.
Some claimed that bakery long had a reputation for a lack of hygiene, with one saying that its Sungai Buloh outlet was infested with flies.
Some urged the OP to lodge a report with the Ministry of Health, to which she replied by saying she had already done so and was waiting for a response.
A netizen later claimed in the comment section that the bakery was shut down, suggesting that the complaint managed to get the attention of the health authorities
