TAWAU: Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah President Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah has urged people’s representatives in each area to pay attention to school development and fulfil their obligation to assist schools in their respective areas.
He said this after officiating the 49th Athletics Championship for SK Merotai Besar on Saturday.
He expressed gratitude for the teachers’ and students’ efforts in making the annual sports event a success and decided to donate RM2,000 to the school teachers’ dinner and RM1,000 to the students.
“I appreciate the teachers’ dedication even though the facilities are inadequate. The teachers were able to organise sports activities in which students could participate. I’ll find a way to repair the road to the school soon,” he said.
