Rob McElhenney brought a taste of baseball to Wrexham AFC last weekend.

The Wrexham co-owner is a well-known fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and brought his beloved Phillie Phanatic mascot to the Racecourse Ground

Mr and Mrs Met - official mascots of the New York Mets - also made the trip to Wales and the trio did a little sightseeing, stopped by the pitch and, naturally, got into a sideline race.

It was Mrs Met who won the race, which also features Wrex the Dragon.

The Phillies will play the Mets in the MLB’s London Series in June.
