
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 19 Malaysians have made it to the Forbes 2025 Billionaires List, with a combined net worth of US$57.3 billion, The Star reported.
Tan Sri Robert Kuok (pic), 101, remains Malaysia’s richest for another consecutive year, with his fortune rising to US$12.1 billion.
The second-wealthiest Malaysian is Hong Leong Group’s Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan (US$9.9 billion), followed by Press Metal CEO Tan Sri Paul Koon (US$4.2 billion).
Joining the billionaire ranks is 99 Speed Mart founder Lee Thiam Wah, now Malaysia’s fourth richest at US$3.7 billion after the company’s 2024 Bursa Malaysia listing.
Other notable names include IOI Group’s Lee Yeow Chor and Lee Yeow Seng (US$3.1 billion and US$2.3 billion), Sunway’s Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah (US$3.5 billion), Genting’s Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay (US$1.8 billion), MR DIY’s Tan Yu Yeh (US$1.3 billion), and four heirs of Public Bank founder Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow, each worth US$1.6 billion.
