Before then, Jayden Bogle struck on 85 minutes to cancel out Erling Haaland's opener for City.
The Norway striker had previously missed a first-half penalty.
Juanma Lillo was in charge for City on the day, with manager Pep Guardiola at home recovering from back surgery.
