ASUS Republic of Gamers has confirmed the Malaysian pre-order details for its most extravagant gaming handheld package yet. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle is priced at RM10,999, with pre-orders opening nationwide at 8pm on 2 October 2026.
This is a genuinely limited release rather than a routine bundle: only 30 sets are allocated for Malaysia. The pre-order period runs until 15 October, although that small allocation could make the closing date academic for anyone determined to secure one.
A collector’s bundle built around the Ally X20
The centrepiece is the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a translucent black-and-gold edition created for ROG’s 20th anniversary. ASUS pairs it with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses, an exclusive dbrand Killswitch protective case, a custom Pelican Protector Case and a 68W power adapter.
The Killswitch package includes a kickstand, travel cover, ROG stick grips and a custom skin, while the Pelican case uses a fitted foam interior to hold the Edition 20 hardware. In other words, the extra money is paying for a complete collector’s setup rather than simply a different colourway.
What the ROG Xbox Ally X20 packs
Inside the handheld is AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home, so it can access the usual PC game stores and libraries rather than being tied to one ecosystem.
The display is a 7.4-inch Full HD OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. ASUS quotes a 30Hz to 120Hz variable refresh-rate range, 600 nits of typical brightness and a 1,400-nit peak, alongside VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 and Dolby Vision support.
Controls include full-size TMR analogue sticks, impulse triggers, a D-pad, ABXY buttons, two rear buttons, HD haptics and a six-axis IMU. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, USB4, a second USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a microSD Express card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. An 80Wh battery powers the 756g handheld.

ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 adds a portable big screen
The included ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 glasses use a pair of Sony micro-OLED panels, each with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. They support refresh rates up to 240Hz, a claimed 0.01ms response time and native three-degrees-of-freedom tracking.
ASUS says the glasses can create a virtual screen measuring up to 171 inches when viewed at four metres. They also provide a 57-degree field of view, three levels of electrochromic dimming, built-in Bose audio and a microphone array with noise cancellation. The glasses weigh 90g and connect through USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode.
Malaysia price and pre-order bonuses
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle costs RM10,999 in Malaysia. Customers who place an order between 2 and 15 October will receive a ROG Ally Limited Edition Loot Box and can get 20% off selected ROG gaming gear through a purchase-with-purchase promotion.
ASUS says a separate Malaysian announcement for the standalone ROG Xbox Ally X20 will follow. That is the next detail to watch after the company’s initial Malaysian reveal of the Ally X20. Buyers who want the handheld without the AR glasses and collector accessories may therefore prefer to wait for the individual price before making a decision.
