Roma coach Jose Mourinho was satisfied with their 2-2 draw against Salernitana.
Mourinho was happy with the effort of his players and dismissed claims they should be disappointed not to be closer to the top four.
He said, "We make many changes, we know that when we make changes we don't change honesty, the basic principles of this team, honesty, seriousness and humility, but it changes in terms of quality.
"In the second half we made substitutions and the team improved. We won the second half 2-1 and lost the first 1-0. Perhaps we deserved something in more, but they deserved a draw for attitude.
"Who spoke of the Champions League as a goal for Roma? I certainly don't. I try to always be honest, I don't like selling smoke, I never said that Roma were candidates for the Champions League, when you compete against this type of team that before us it would be irresponsible to talk about the Champions League. I've never talked about it.
"I'm not talking about the teams that we eliminated, but also about the teams that have been eliminated in general: Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus, an almost infinite number of top teams The only thing I play in the final is the final.
"There are coaches, players, clubs, who play a European final in their life and are lucky, imagine us playing two in a row, this is a great season for me, it becomes historical beyond what will happen. But I want to play it."
