Evan Ndicka spent the night in hospital after the Roma defender collapsed during Sunday's game with Udinese.
The match was eventually suspended as Ndicka was taken to hospital after losing consciousness.
A Roma statement read: Following the on-field medical emergency involving Evan Ndicka, the match between Udinese and Roma has been suspended.
The player is conscious and has been taken to hospital for further checks.
