Ronel Pierre-Gabriel is delighted with his move to Espanyol.
The fullback arrives from Mainz.
He said, "I am very happy to be in Spain, I hope to have a very good season with the team and I would like to thank them for allowing me to be here.
"Coming to Espanyol was a challenge, a great opportunity to discover a new championship. Now I have to prove myself and play good games.
"The first contact was at the beginning of the year and when the project was presented to me it seemed like a wonderful opportunity and I took advantage of it."
On Espanyol coach Diego Martinez, Pierre-Gabriel added: "The coach has told me that I am a versatile full-back and that's why he loved me. Now I have to adapt to Spanish football."
