Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is set to become DC United's new manager as he has already landed in the United States.
Rooney, who left Derby County as manager in the summer, will be in charge at the Washington DC-based club where he played for 18 months.
According to The Sun, Rooney has agreed an £800,000-a-year deal to coach the side.
Rooney's move will be rubber stamped by the MLS in the coming days.
He is expected to be in the dugout when DC United take on Columbus Crew on Thursday.
Rooney had been expected to stay in England for family reasons, but wants to make the move to improve as a coach.
