A LAST-MINUTE attempt by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to have two Federal Court judges recused was rejected on Wednesday, with her absence prompting the court to adjourn the hearing to 3 March.
At the start of proceedings, Rosmah’s counsel, Datuk Jagjit Singh, informed the three-judge panel that he had been instructed by his client to seek the recusal of Justices Nordin Hassan and Che Mohd Ruzima Ghazali.
The request sparked tense exchanges in court.
The panel, chaired by Justice Nordin Hassan, dismissed the application, stating there was no substantive risk of judicial bias.
Despite the rejection, the court allowed a brief adjournment, with the appeal now scheduled to resume on 3 March. The decision marks another procedural development in the high-profile appeal involving Rosmah Mansor. - February 25, 2026
