The royal family united on Monday (9 March) for their biggest public gathering since the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

King Charles was joined by Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales at the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, where he described the family of nations as a “force for good” in his message to its 56 member states.

His Majesty added that it was when countries faced testing moments, like “conflict, climate change and rapid transformation”, that the family of nations’ “enduring spirit” came to the fore.
