The Royal Malaysia Police have taken significant steps to aid in flood relief efforts, deploying 750 personnel and 144 assets to five states affected by the recent floods. These states include Terengganu, Kelantan, Johor, Pahang, and Sabah.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, revealed that among the deployed assets are 47 boats, 32 trucks, 59 four-wheeled vehicles, and six ambulances and vans. He further assured that all these assets remain in good condition and have not been submerged by the floods.

According to the latest report from the National Disaster Management Agency’s (Nadma) National Disaster Command Centre, the number of flood victims in Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor, and Pahang has seen only a slight change. The total number of evacuees across 103 temporary relief centres (PPS) in these states has decreased slightly from 23,011 to 23,008.
Meanwhile, in Sabah, the floodwaters have subsided completely. The last group of six victims, representing three families from the Paitan district, have been allowed to return to their homes as the situation in the area has improved.
