Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Road Transport Department (RTD) has opened service counters every Saturday and Sunday for four consecutive weeks to help vehicle owners update ownership records to qualify for benefits under the Budi Diesel programme.
Sabah RTD Director Datuk Mohd Harris Ali (pic) said the initiative was introduced to facilitate matters related to the targeted diesel subsidy programme while making it easier for the public to complete vehicle ownership transfer procedures.
He said the department is assisting nominees and vehicle owners in updating ownership information to enable eligible recipients to receive benefits under the Government's Budi Diesel programme.
Mohd Harris said the service is available at all RTD offices statewide, including the state headquarters, branch offices and three Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) offices.
He said the department is committed to ensuring vehicle ownership transfers and related processes are carried out smoothly to support the implementation of the Government's initiative.
