Ruben Baraja is happy with his new deal at Valencia.
After guiding VCF to Primera safety, the coach has been handed a new two-year contract.
Baraja said: "I am radiant with joy, optimism and, above all, hope for the future.
It has to serve as a learning opportunity for us. These months have been very useful for me to get to know the club, to know how it works and, from there, to try to impose the idiosyncrasies of Valencia CF. Demand, a lot of work, fine-tuning when it comes to setting up the squad and, above all, the ambition to improve, to make the team improve and for the club to be in that line.
The coach said that he hopes they have the best squad possible for the start of the League, but he also pointed out that everyone must "make an effort to understand the situation the club is in right now.
For me, it is very important that the players who come to Valencia CF and those who are already there have hunger, ambition and energy. We have to be able to find the benefits and certainties that give you the chance to make a competitive team. That is the goal that I set for myself."
