Ruben Selles is delighted taking charge of Southampton.
The Spaniard has been named manager to the end of the season after the dismissal of Ralph Hasenhuttl.
He said today: "I am very happy that the owners have given me this opportunity for the rest of the season, and I am also happy with the support of the fans.
"I don't see it as an option. It is what it is. It's the Premier League and it's a challenge.
"I'm already here, and there's nothing I have to prove. We have a really good group and it is a pleasure to lead them, and there is nothing more to say about it."
