Ruby Wax joked that she should have “taken out” Donald Trump whilst interviewing him, before back-tracking and asking This Morning hosts ‘can you erase that bit?”.
Appearing on the ITV talkshow on Wednesday (25 February), the 72-year-old recalled her interview with Trump for her BBC series Ruby’s American Pie in 2000.
During the interview, Ms Wax laughed in Mr Trump’s face when he told her that he wanted to be the next president. After hosts Angela Scanlon and Ben Shephard pointed out that he got what he wanted, she replied: “Go figure... I should have taken him out.”
She then jokingly asked if the comment could be removed, before declaring that it was “all in jest”.
