PITAS: Assistant Works and Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Rudy Awah, who is also Pitas assemblyman, embraced Islam in a ceremony at his residence here on Sunday morning.
The conversion was conducted in the presence of Sabah Mufti Datuk Bungsu @Aziz Jaafar.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his wife, Datin Seri Juliah Salag, witnessed the ceremony.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Ariffin Ariff, who is also the state Islamic Affairs Exco, and State Secretary Datuk Zainuddin Aman acted as witnesses for the conversion of Rudy, his 56-year-old wife Datin Seri Asiah Undian, and their 24-year-old son Aswad Rudy.
