Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admits Bayern Munich pushed hard to sign Jude Bellingham before he signed for Real Madrid.
Rummenigge, who has been back with Bayern Munich since last year, revealed the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder was on their wish list.
Tonight, Bellingham will try to help Real Madrid reach another Champions League final. The 20-year-old must knock out Bayern Munich to do so.
"I can only say that in Dortmund they were happy that Bayern no longer had a chance to get him," Rummenigge told AS.
"He made the decision to move to Real Madrid early and they should be congratulated for signing him. He scores, he assists, he fights and he works hard. He does everything very well."
