MATUNGGONG: The government will continue to prioritise the development needs of rural communities, including basic amenities, roads, and community infrastructure, said Women, Health and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Julita Majungki.
Speaking at the officiating of the Kampung Tagumamal Darat Church on Saturday, Julita said development projects must be implemented in phases based on priorities, local needs, and available allocations.
Julita, who is also Matunggong assemblywoman, noted that requests raised by the local community included road upgrades and the provision of a multipurpose hall.
She added that the government also provides several housing schemes for eligible families.
During the event, attended by Bishop Rev Christopher Ogondong and Church Chairman Stephen Singkong, Julita announced the approval of funds for an LED television for the church.
