Russia issues warning as British-built drones used in strikes

  • Russia has warned the UK of consequences following reports that Ukrainian forces used British-built drones to strike targets inside Russian territory.
  • Drones manufactured by two UK companies, including BAE Systems subsidiary Callen-Lenz, have reportedly been used over the past six months to hit targets such as oil refineries and logistics hubs.
  • Russia's embassy in London accused Britain of deliberately escalating the conflict and warned that London will answer for its growing involvement.
  • The UK previously committed to delivering at least 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year as part of its largest drone support package to date.
