MOSCOW: The Russian Defence Ministry said its air defence system had shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Russian western region of Smolensk Region on Wednesday, reported Sputnik.
“On November 15, at about 7:30 a.m. Moscow time (04:30 GMT), an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. Air defence systems on duty destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Smolensk Region,“ the ministry said in a statement.
Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
