A Russian strike on the Ukrainian port city of Odesa killed three people, including a child, and injured two others, according to a local military official.

ODESA: A Russian strike on the southern Ukrainian port city of Odesa killed three people, including a child, a military official said.

Sergiy Lysak, the head of the city’s military administration, confirmed the fatalities in a post on Telegram, stating the attack occurred overnight.

Lysak added that two people were hospitalised with serious injuries as a result of the strike.

The attack follows a series of drone strikes in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region, which its governor said wounded eight people, including two children, early on Sunday.

Veniamin Kondratyev, the regional governor, posted on Telegram that the “massive drone attacks” caused damage to apartment buildings and homes.

Moscow has been conducting nightly drone barrages against Ukraine throughout its invasion, which began in February 2022.

Kyiv has repeatedly accused Russia of attacking residential areas and targeting civilians.
