A 29-year-old woman from Russia was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a private hotel in Kasol on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Daria Kuzminykh. She had come here with her friends on a vacation. Her body was found in the bathroom.
Upon receiving the information, the local police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. Initial inquiries have not yet revealed the exact cause of death. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the authorities are awaiting the report for further clarity.
Officials have confirmed that the woman’s family members as well as the embassy concerned have been informed about the incident. “We are investigating the matter from all possible angles. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report arrives,” a police official said.
