Ryan Fraser has been relegated to Newcastle United's reserve team.
The Daily Mail says Fraser is now training with the club's Under 21s and is unlikely to return to the senior set-up.
The 28-year-old has not featured since October under Eddie Howe and the decision has been taken for him to relocate to the academy base.
The club sees Fraser's future elsewhere and it is expected he will move on this summer. The player, too, has expressed a desire for more game-time.
The Scotland international joined the Magpies on a free transfer from Bournemouth in 2020.
