Here comes a new challenger as the new trailer for the live-action “Street Fighter” movie reveals the complicated relationship between Ryu and Ken Masters.
As seen in the trailer, Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken (Noah Centineo) had a falling-out before the events of the film. Ryu lives a quiet and isolated life, while Ken becomes active in martial arts to prove that he is better than his “brother.”
Ryu’s quiet life is interrupted by the arrival of Chun-Li (Callina Liang), who warns him that Ken is in danger and that he must enter the World Warrior Tournament to save him.
Both fighters, with the help of Chun-Li, must face several worthy challengers, including E. Honda, Vega, Dhalsim, Guile, Blanka and many more.
The trailer also offers a glimpse of David Dastmalchian’s M. Bison and the bloodthirsty Akuma, played by WWE World Champion Roman Reigns.
“Street Fighter” hits theaters on Oct. 16.
