Former Lille coach Rene Girard has no doubts about PSG's swoop for Everton midfielder Irissa Gueye.
Gueye is due to undergo a medical in Paris today.
Girard told Le Parisien: "He's a gem, a jewel just waiting to be polite. He knows how to do everything, whether collectively or individually. In a club like Paris, we will see a new dimension from him. I am not sure that England was really made for him. What I am sure, however, is that Paris is not mistaken. He deserves to come to PSG and he will show what he can do.
"When he signed for Aston Villa (in 2015), he was coming out of a remarkable season with us, in Lille. I thought we'd talk a little bit more about him. The big mouths are more highlighted than boys like him. I do not see how he could not succeed in Paris."
