'Sabah 4 Sabahan' peaceful assembly in June

KOTA KINABALU: Gerakan Bangkit Sabahan will organise a two-day peaceful assembly themed ‘Sabah 4 Sabahan’ on June 21 and 22, 2025, here.

Its Chief Adviser, Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar, said the exact location of the gathering will be revealed during a press conference scheduled for early June.

“The assembly is expected to draw around 15,000 participants and will feature prominent Sabah political figures as keynote speakers,” he said in a statement today.

The assembly aims to show solidarity with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in defending Sabah’s rights and sovereignty ahead of the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN-17).

Previously, on December 31, 2024, the movement organised the ‘Bangkit Sabahan Assembly’ at Anjung Selera in Likas, which drew around 1,500 participants from various non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
