Kota Kinabalu: Sabah faces a dire need for skilled workers and talents in technology, says chairman of the Sabah branch of the Technological Association Malaysia (TAM), Ir. Dr Chua Bih Lii.
Chua who was re-elected branch chairman of TAM, also highlighted the importance of incorporating new technology and competency in various fields.
“The current skill set of workers may not be sufficient for the incoming global industries.
Thus, development of local expertise and professional competency of Sabah’s technologists are important to meet tomorrow’s challenges,” he said at TAM’s 27th annual meeting, on March 9.
