Kota Kinabalu: State Civil Servants in Sabah will enjoy a Special Financial Assistance of RM2,000 provided by the State Government next year, said State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

He said the assistance will be paid in two stages -- the first RM1,000 to be paid in Jan 2024 and another RM1,000 before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, to all civil servants including temporary, contract and daily paid workers.

“I hope that this incentive will further motivate State civil servants to serve with enthusiasm and strive even harder in order to enhance the quality of service delivery to the people,” he said when tabling the 2024 State Budget at the State Legislative Assembly, here, Friday.
