Sabah civil servants to receive one-month aid in 2026

KOTA KINABALU: About 18,853 Sabah civil servants will get Special Financial Assistance worth one month’s salary or at least RM2,000 next year.

Finance Minister Masidi Manjun said the RM52.6 million payout will be made in two phases: February before Hari Raya and again before Kaamatan.

Contract staff, open vote employees and daily-paid workers qualify. Sabah pensioners will also receive RM1,000 next year.

The State has also allocated RM7.6 million for lifelong learning and RM16.85 million for human capital development to strengthen skills and efficiency in the public service.
